Presentation, discussion & dinner With Khaled Quzmar, General Director- Defense for Children international – Palestine section

The Palestinian Children Rights Coalition of which gate48 is a member, continues its campaign for the rights of Palestinian children, with the invitation to the Netherlands of the General Director of DCI- Palestine Khaled Quzmar. As a follow-up to the petition which was submitted to the parliamentary committee on Foreign Affairs last month, Mr. Quzmar will give a presentation to the foreign affairs committee at the Parliament on Thursday. This meeting is open for the public and you are most welcome to attend it.
The Coalition would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support to our campaign. More than 5000 people have signed the petition. The petition was submitted to the parliament on the 15th of May. Following the petition a motion of MP Karabulut (SP) was accepted mid-June with a majority of 87 votes, including members of D66 and CDA. The motion calls upon the Dutch government to put pressure on the Israeli government to respect the rights of Palestinian minors in Israeli detention, and also to seek international support to increase pressure if Israel persists in its violations.
We will organize an informal dinner with Khaled Quzmar on the 28th of June. If you would like to learn more about our work and the situation of Palestinian children under occupation and in Israeli detention, and access to justice to Palestinian children, please join us.
Dinner costs are €15. It will include a main course, salads, deserts and free drinks.
