In Conversation with Combatants for Peace, Nobel-Peace Price nominees 2017

Monday 27 of March 2017 19:30, Het Spinhuis (Singel 165a) Amsterdam

How can you choose for non-violent resistance when violence is the norm? How can you make a connection with someone who is supposed to be your enemy?

A couple of former Israeli soldiers and Palestinian militants were confronted with these issues. To break the vicious cycle of violence the contenders united and formed Combatants for Peace [CfP]. They are nominated this year for the Nobel Peace Prize.

On March the 27th we are organizing a low-key meeting with some CfP activists and Stephon Apkon, documentary maker.   Come and listen to their personal stories and strategies for change. They will address their inner conflicts, relationship with their country and their view on Israel/Palestine’s future. You can ask them how the conflict has shaped them, their methods of non-violent resistance and its effectiveness.

This event with Combatants for Peace is organised by gate 48, FFIPP and het Spinhuis.

Entrance is free
