Daoud Nassar is a Palestinian farmer from the Bethlehem area. Israel is trying to conf iscate his farm, which has belonged to the family since the Ottoman days. The Nassar family is very creative in their non violent responses to this threat, based on their slogan: We refuse to be enemies! Non – violent resistance is a crucial element of the struggle of Palestinians against the Israeli occupation. Citizens and consumers worldwide can contribute to this strategy

Anja Meulenbelt is a writer, activist and former senator. She is a member of the board of Kifaia, an organisation helping disabled children in the Gaza Strip. She has written numerous books on feminism and Israel and Palestine, of which Oorlog als er Vrede dreigt is the latest.

Daoud Nassar is visiting the Netherlands on the invitation of Kerk in Actie. Kerk in Actie, gate48, Palestine Link, Kerk en Vrede and De Nieuwe Liefde organize this evening.
